Private tour of Apothecaries' Hall
In memory of our Founders Dr Sieveking & Dr Markham, pioneers in the field of medicine, we are organising a private tour of Apothecaries' Hall, the oldest extant Livery Hall in the City, with a glimpse into this secret part of Blackfriars and items in the Society's historic Collections.
Time & Location
03 Sept 2025, 10:30 – 13:30
Apothecaries' Hall, Black Friars Lane, City of London, EC4V 6ER, UK
About the event
A private tour will be given to Club members by Dr. John Ford, pictured below, one of the team of the Friends of the Collections. Refreshments (tea & coffee) will be served at 10.30 am, prior to the tour. We will hear about the history of the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries, and see some of the treasures contained in this beautiful building, with many fine paintings, and an exceptional collection of rare Apothecaries jars and other medical accoutrements.
