Private tour of the College of Arms
Marking the new visual identity of the Club, based on Edinburgh University's heraldic shield, we will be given a private tour of the College of Arms, steeped in its unique history. Afterwards, optional drinks and supper are served at the Glean restaurant around the corner on Blackfriars Lane.

About the event
Please arrive at the College of Arms for 6.15 pm, where we will gather in the courtyard prior to entry at 6.30 pm.
Our guided tour will be conducted by James Peill F.S.A., Bluemantle Pursuivant of His Majesty's College of Arms. He read History of Art at Edinburgh University (1990-1994) before becoming a Director of Christie’s where he was a specialist in the Furniture Department and an auctioneer. After Christie’s, he was Curator of the Goodwood Collection. He is the co-author, with the late Knight of Glin, of Irish Furniture (Yale University Press, 2007) and The Irish Country House (Vendome, 2010), and the author of The English Country House (Vendome, 2013). His most recent book is Glorious Goodwood, a Biography of England's Greatest Sporting Estate (Constable, 2019).
We are joined by the talented Heraldic Artist Quentin Peacock, who created the artwork for the Club's new visual identity, based on a creative brief written by Tim Gadoffre, the Club's…
